It genuinely gave me something to think about for a universe where tail maws exist and could imagine that worlds controversies over the ethics and the debates about a tail maws level of sentience to things like consent, IQ level or being labeled as sudo-human ("human" being people of whatever society is having concerns abt this in the first place)
Like, do they have rights? Is there extra medical support with people who have maw tails?? Things that I thought where fun to mull over on
This topic has also fascinated me !! I even tried to like, worldbuild around the idea of creatures with sentient maw tails, but ultimately gave up on the idea... Maybe I'll revisit it someday.
I suppose this is kind of related to any kind of beings that are joined together in one body, like symbiotes or something.
