numbers suggested that i post this here instead of mastodden for visibility
emm so we talked about this months ago on the mastoden and I was thinking it'd be good to have like a collective funds thing to fund our roblox projects and to also work on places together if we ever decide on that. Plus any purchases of the clothing we make will directly go to the group which can fund even more shirts.
I've already started semi-making custom shirts for my sona, for now its just my tanukis' paws and elbow because there was nothing like it on the store.
Numbers suggested we call it Denblox, though I am wondering what are y'all ideas.
(of course it'll be privated so no stinky m*nors and mean people get in )
a denden roblox group?

Re: a denden roblox group?
I've never played roblox and am not interested in getting into it myself, but I do like the idea of some sort of "pool" that multiple artists contribute to. I had a similar idea but regarding Second Life, which has a similar user-made items marketplace. Basically you sell items on the SL marketplace, which gives you SL currency, which you can exchange for real currency. I think this is pretty much the same as how the roblox market works, so my idea should apply to it as well.
My idea was to have an "artist guild" which artists could sign up to join, and it would be a place to come up with projects for SL items/cosmetics/buildings/avatars, split the work among multiple people if desired (making a full-featured SL avatar is a very complicated process), and basically encourage artists to assist each other with making things for SL. Then, they could choose to sell their work through the Guild account on the SL marketplace instead of their personal account. Profits from works sold on the Guild account would be the pool, which would be distributed among guild members and used for rent in any in-game shops (I don't think roblox has those?). To make stuff for SL, you need a fairly ridiculous range of technical knowledge, so this kind of guild would allow people to specialize: having someone makes models, someone who rigs, someone who textures, someone who writes code (or people who have multiple specializations).
A downside to selling through the guild account is that an artist won't be making 100% of the profit from their work if they sell something that they made entirely themself. The benefit would be that eventually the guild account could be more of a recognized "brand", since it would be able to have a larger selection of items than an individual artist could produce on their own. The artists could also advertise their personal accounts through their item listings. Also, the artists wouldn't have to worry as much about updating their in-world shops with new items, since the treasurer of the guild account could manage that.

Re: a denden roblox group?
This sounds a lot like a workers' coop to be honest, though making it sound like a guild for branding purposes makes it less... lame I guess? xd
There's a flat fee when uploading things to the roblox marketplace, even creating a game is a fee (though everyone starts with one free game they can have).
I honestly think Roblox really needs spaces for adult furries, because there's only one game everyone socializes on and its' really shit (they don't even have a block feature, constant issues with troll raids) and the world is really ugly. We could join the UGC and make accessories (that aren't just 2D clothes) and that process is much easier than second life from my understanding.
Roblox DevEx (don't use the Buy Robux comparison the prices are suuuper inflated, 5$ for 400 robux) probably has a much worse conversion rate than Second Life, first you need to have like an X amount of robux until you can withdraw money + premium, and its like 35$ for every 10000 Robux.
I'm staying on roblox atm because of nostalgia (also my stepdad would make fun of me a lot) and because I don't know how to get into SecondLife, I can give it a Second Chance badumtss.

Re: a denden roblox group?
I miss when Roblox used to pay their users for logging in on a new day for like 1 or 2 robux hahh
I like the idea of the guild community in that it would feel like a little social city of artists
Roblox holds a lot of nostalgia for me as well
